About this site

What is the purpose of this site?

• Mainly to have a place to neatly collect and organize my little projects from across the years. There is simple stuff, weird things that are 10+ years old, and also all the latest stuff, side-by-side. I love all my children equally. (Disclaimer: not actually true).

• I have tried to maintain a blog of sorts but I could never keep up with it in a proper way. If I remember correctly I decided to give it a go around 2013. It went from a Blogspot, to a self-hosted WP instance, to this. I’ve kept most of that stuff here. But maybe blogging is just not my thing.

• Now it seems like the best fit for me to produce content is to have some more focused material, with more specific and tangible goals, in case I feel like writing some more stuff. Tutorials come to mind.

• I will keep the blog around, though.

Why not post more work-related things?

• Looking around there is a lot of game-y and Arduino-y stuff, right? This is by design.

• If you want to talk about more “serious” stuff, just ping me on LinkedIn. Link’s right up there. Here’s where I can have some fun. And it is easier to put in the effort when you are having fun, I guess.

• I have recently pivoted from industrial automation to the automotive industry. This was a nice opportunity to switch gears and get into harder challenges. But this is not going to change my focus for this site at all.

Do you have a privacy policy?

• This is a purely static website, and there are no cookies. If a demo requires external resources, which might result in third-party cookies, in this case it will be properly noted. This will never load automatically.

• Other than that, no data is collected, besides regular server logs with IPs, URLs, and response codes.
